How fast will I be losing weight on a low-carb diet?

Everyone’s body is different, which means weight loss rates can vary from person to person. For example, someone with a slow metabolism, more body fat, and little exercise may take longer to see weight loss compared to someone with a normal metabolism who is slightly overweight and starts exercising four to five times a week along with following a low-carb diet.

Typically, in the first week of the low-carb diet, people experience a rapid weight drop—anywhere from a few pounds to as much as ten! This is mainly due to the body releasing excess water weight (not fat) as a result of reduced carb intake.
